FURY Weather POLICY
by posted 02/18/2020

Our Girls Lacrosse Club of Frisco follows the following weather policy:

If the weather dips into the 30's or is over 103, there is a high probability of cancellation.  We follow the weather closely and will assess all other weather conditions to determine if practice is beneficial.  The safety, health & moral of our players and coaches will all be taken into consideration.

In the event of rain or wet fields, the City of Frisco makes this call if the fields are open or not.  The call from the City is made about 3 pm and we will turn around the notification as quickly as possible on social media and via email.

We will not be on the field at all if there is lightening in the area.  All Frisco fields are equipped with lightening detectors that also have an all clear signal (20 minutes after the last detection).

On occassion we make the wrong call - we are human.  The coaches try to practice if we can - sometimes that means a storm could roll in during a practice - if the weather is questionable we do appreicate parents sticking around and being available in the parking lot should we need to clear the fields quickly.   This also means on occassion we will have an alternate practice plan that could include a team social / dinner, game /film watching, etc.

ALL THIS BEING SAID, PLEASE LIKE OUR FACEBOOK PAGE,
